Driving to us from Sacramento
Our office is at 6381 Auburn Blvd, Suite A, in Citrus Heights, a few minutes from the Greenback Lane exit on I-80. Most Sacramento neighborhoods reach it by freeway:
- Downtown and Midtown: take Business 80 (the Capital City Freeway) east until it merges with I-80, stay on I-80 east, exit at Greenback Lane and turn onto Auburn Blvd. Plan on about 20 to 30 minutes.
- Natomas and North Sacramento: take I-80 east the whole way to the Greenback Lane exit. Also about 20 to 30 minutes.
- Arden-Arcade and the Arden Fair area: Business 80 east to I-80, then the same exit. Usually about 15 to 25 minutes.
These are off-peak estimates. Weekday rush hour on I-80 and Business 80 can add a lot, which is why an evening appointment can make sense.

The DMV's Sacramento field office is at 4700 Broadway, and its Sacramento South field office is at 7775 La Mancha Way. People in the northeast part of the city are also close to the Carmichael field office on North Ave. You can always go to one of them directly, and the DMV offers many services online.

That depends on your schedule. From downtown it is usually about 20 to 30 minutes on Business 80 and I-80. In return you get a booked time, evening and Saturday hours, and paperwork checked before it is processed.
Can you help if I bought a car from a private seller in Sacramento?
Yes. Bring the signed California title, the odometer reading, a smog certificate if the car needs one, proof of insurance and your ID. The buyer has 10 days to report the transfer, so book soon after the sale.
