Registration Leaders is a private business, not the DMV or any government agency. We are contracted through the DMV Business Partner Automation program, and our service fees are charged in addition to DMV and other government fees.

Added to the service fee only when they apply to your visit.
After-hours appointment: +$15
Our regular hours are Monday to Saturday, 10am to 9pm. If you need an after-hours appointment outside those hours, the after-hours add-on is +$15 on top of the service fee. Ask when you book.
Mobile service: quoted before we go
Mobile service is available for VIN verification, pick-up and drop-off and fingerprinting. The extra cost depends on distance and time of service, and we quote before we go.

Fingerprinting
Live Scan and FD-258 ink cards, in office or mobile. Call for a quote. Government processing fees are separate.
Pick-up and drop-off

How DMV fees work
Your total has two parts: the DMV fees for your transaction, and our service fee.
- DMV fees are set by the State of California, not by us. They vary by vehicle and transaction, for example with the vehicle's type, value and weight, where it is registered, and whether a renewal or transfer is late.
- Our service fee is the price listed on this page. It is paid in addition to the DMV fees.
- We tell you the DMV fees for your transaction before you pay, so there are no surprises.

What does the DMV take-in service include?
Some paperwork has to be handled at a DMV office. With our DMV take-in service, we take your paperwork to the DMV and handle it for you, acting as your power of attorney, so you do not have to go or wait in line yourself.
